Image and Reel Usage Rights

What the standard license covers—and when a broader license is needed.

The simple version

The creator owns the copyright unless a signed agreement transfers it. After full payment, the client receives permission to use the delivered media for the agreed project and channels. Buying production does not automatically transfer ownership.

Real estate listings

The booking client and their brokerage may use the media to market the specific active listing through the MLS, property website, listing portals, organic social media, email, and print. The license does not automatically transfer to a new agent, owner, builder, stager, designer, vendor, publication, or other third party.

Restaurants, hospitality, destinations, and businesses

Standard usage covers the client's own website, social channels, email, menus, booking profiles, ordinary self-promotion, and paid digital advertising using the delivered media and supplied licensed track. It does not automatically include resale, publication, syndication, broadcast, out-of-home placement, use by a parent company or brand partner, or transfer to another business.

When an expanded license is needed

  • Broadcast, cinema, streaming-network, or out-of-home advertising outside the standard digital license
  • Use by a third party, sponsor, partner, publication, franchise, or parent company
  • Resale, stock use, templates, merchandising, or product packaging
  • Reuse for a different property, business, campaign, or client

Expanded usage can be quoted before production or added later in writing.

Music, people, and locations

When licensed music is included, the client receives the available license certificate or proof of license for the supplied track. The delivered reel may be used in paid advertising when the supplied license covers that platform and placement. The music may not be removed, reused in another edit, transferred, or used outside the stated license. Talent releases, location permissions, trademarks, artwork, and client-supplied materials can also affect usage and should be confirmed before production.

ConnecticutByNeel features

A paid feature includes only the placement and deliverables listed in the selected package or written confirmation. Paid or sponsored content is disclosed clearly. A collaboration does not transfer the ConnecticutByNeel account, audience, or publishing rights to the client.

Portfolio use

Neel Bobade Media may display final work in its website, portfolio, social media, proposals, and self-promotion unless a confidentiality request is accepted in writing before production.

Confirm the agreement

This page is a plain-language overview, not legal advice. The booking terms or signed project agreement control the final rights for each project.
