Restaurant preparation

Prepare for an Efficient Restaurant Shoot

Good preparation protects food quality, keeps production moving, and avoids disrupting guests.

Confirm the goal

Identify the package, featured dishes or drinks, key message, and any team members who should appear. Neel Bobade Media plans the visual coverage and directs the shoot.

Prepare the menu and people

  • Choose the agreed number of visually distinct dishes or drinks
  • Confirm which preparation, pouring, plating, or service moments can be filmed
  • Prepare clean uniforms, menus, glassware, workstations, and serving pieces
  • Confirm who may appear on camera and obtain permission from staff
  • Assign one person who can approve presentation and keep dishes moving

Schedule before opening

Whenever possible, schedule production before the restaurant opens. This provides time to bring in lights, place cameras safely, access the kitchen, photograph freshly plated food, and capture the room without inconveniencing customers.

Prepare the space

Clean the entrance, dining room, bar, kitchen areas being shown, windows, mirrors, tables, menus, and exterior signs. Keep power outlets, loading access, and a safe area for equipment available.

Confirm publishing platforms

Tell Neel where the final media will be published, including paid advertising. Standard social exports use the appropriate platform format, and licensed music documentation is supplied when music is included.
